Summary:
For this week we had to start our repositories for our project, add a title, topics, and license. Here is what I choose for my repository and why.
Title
The title for my project is Am.I. I choose this title because it is a play on words with the word A.I. and the word am. It was inspired by the conversations the LLMs are going to be having about what they are. I was also thinking about Rene Decartes famous phrase “I think therefore I am” from Mediations on First Philosophy. I think this phrase in the context of AI is really interesting and can make us rethink and redefine what it means to be conscious.
Topics
The topics I choose were art, arduino, 3d-printing, and large-language-model. I choose these topics because they are what I am working with. I am not one-hundred percent on using Arduino instead of Raspberry Pi but if I need to change it I will.
License
I choose the Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 4.0 International license also known as CC BY-NC-SA 4.0. The reason I choose this license because I do not want my art to be used for commercial purposes but I wanted it to be apart of the Creative Commons. I also liked how this license makes it so you would have to attribute my work if it is reused which is important to me as an artist working in conversation with other artists. I think it is important to attribute your inspirations and who’s work you based yours off of. Finally, it also involves the share alike trait were if someone uses my work it will also have to be open to others to use which I will inspire more artists.
