This is post is a summary of what my advisor, Professor Jumadinova, and I talked about on September 4th, 2024.
We discussed the requirements including at least 5 chapters and a code artifact. There will also be 2 presentations for the CS major required. The first presentation is to show what I am doing and there I should have a working prototype.
If I am successful at this presentation I will be granted the “Go” to start on my first 2 chapters of my project.
Next semester there will be approximately 1 month given to take the prototype into a finished state. After that I will need to produce results as well as write the method, experiemnts and results, conclussion, and disscusion chapters. In April is the final defense of the project.
Professor Jumadinova recommended I start working on the physical aspects of the piece first to show as part of my prototype. I agreed with her and I am working on writing out the steps I need to take to create a robotic system that looks like a person. We also discussed using the 3-D printers at the new ALIC location to help with the scale of the project.
We also discussed the writing format which is flexible because I am a double major.
Finally, Professor Jumadinova recommended I write out a budget for the project so I can get some funding to help with the cost.
We will have a meeting with both Professor Jumadinova and Professor Brand Friday morning to discuss the ASI requirements further and add them to the Code of Conduct.
Goals
