Sept 27th Presenting

3 strengths in my presentation were: my ability to get people involved and invested, the problem I described, and why I am a good person for the job.

I started the presentation by showing stats of how many people all over the world spoke chinese. This helped people get invested and care about why this project is important. Another strength is that this tool will solve something that has been a problem for others. This idea is worth while because if it is something I have struggled with most likely other’s have struggles with this too. In addition another strong piece of my presentation was why I am a good person for the job. Just because of my expertise and overlap in many different areas of study.

3 weaknesses were: not having a clear layout/it being disjointed, speaking with more confidence, enjoying the process.

I covered all the required topics but something I could have worked on was doing a better job of transitioning and tying them to each other. I also could have thought more about their placement within the presentation and selectively chosen to put them in different places for specific reasons.

Oct 4th Watching Presentations

3 strong elements were: simple slide layout, clear presentation topic discussion layout, presence and ease of sharing

Some of the slides layout were so simple and that made them really effective. Also a few people did a phenomenal job of giving a layout of their discussion. They told about each piece that they were going to talk about.

3 weaker elements: some people spoke really quietly, some spoke too fast, and people did not seem excited about their topics.
