Sept 13th
This week in class we discussed different slides. We talked about slides being simple legible and obvious. One aspect that stood out to me is just the fact that slides are an assets and an addition to the presentation. That both aspects will work together to make the point. While we were evaluating the slide in class we really viewed the slides and talked about them as if they were the entire presentation and we judged them as such. I think in context with a presenter many of those slides would have done much better. As we continued to evaluate more and more slides I got easier and easier to tell which slides weren’t as good and which ones were with a lot less debate. It is also important to note that some slides can be good with bad elements and there are bad slide with good elements. Though the slide and the elements definitely relate to each other there was a bit of a disconnect here
Sept 20th
This Friday instead of class we had an iTea and got to interact with our classmates and with alumni. I talked with Jaclyn about her comp and how the ideas had changed. It is going to use AI for her comp to track users’ motions. They will think that they are drawing with just their head or extremity to draw the object on the screen but instead the program is tracking the entire body’s movement. I also talked some with Colton about AI and it’s limitations. We talked about the fact that it can’t create.

Chinese is an important language to know in the field of international trade and relations, it is very useful, and also a hard language to learn. This tools will assist people in learning chiense and furture and soldiy their knowledge of the langue.
Userbase
This tool is for users who already have a basice understanding of Chinese. This tool is not for beginners. It is a tool to students, educators, and those who want to personally further their studying of Chinese.
My Expertise
I am good for this project because I am a student of Chinese. I spend a lot of time as I learn character switch in between my flashcards app and a website that shows me stroke order and a ditionary to get a fuller sense of a character’s meaning. This tool is something I have longed for and I konw would asist me in my studies of Chinese.
Competetors
There are other language apps in this area, but none of them do quite what Strokes will do. There is nothing like this tool that combines all the different levels of learning Chinese Characters.
