This is the 11th post in a my progress blog in the 12th week of classes. We are completing activity 10 from the course slide deck. Welcome!

The mindset of this letter helps me because it reminds me you have to start somewhere and it’s just important to get started. People often say that starting is the hardest spot. And this article reminds you the first draft doesn’t have to be perfect and that you just have to start somewhere.

Paragraphs to be included in the introduction: intro paragraph, background of the problem, statement of the problem, purpose of the study, research question, significance of the study, definition of terms, assumptions limitations and delimitations, ethical dilemma(s)

This is the rough draft of my introduction paragraph. It still needs a hook, but for the hook I’m planning to talk about the importance of learning with context.

A Rough Introduction Section

The idea for this project is to have created a platform that designs and creates multilayered flashcards for users. Rather than just learning a term and definition this allows a user to be able to add multiple levels and layers to what they are studying. For example, if you are learning the chemicals in the periodic table and want to learn their names, atomic mass, number of outer electrons, the user would be able to store this in one card and then when they start their study session they can select the front element of their card and then the other elements they want to focus on in that study session. For this specific case study will demonstrate how these cards would work while studying the many different aspects in learning Mandarin Chinese. After reading this article you will not only understand the inspiration and the many ideas and stages this project has come through and the future use of this tool, along with understanding the importance of this project and the feasibility of it. This tool is important because it will expand and increase people’s learning. They will be able to add more context to their flashcards and focus on different variables that all might be attached to one topic.
