The title of my project is “Never Tell Me The Odds”. I am a big Star Wars fan so I decided to shout out to one of Han Solo’s famous quotes from the movie when they are flying through space and are discussing the change of a particular event.
I thought this would be a fitting title since the project I am working on is predicting outcomes and the chance that a certain team may win. As an athlete myself if I were an NBA player I would never want to know what my odds of winning a specific game or making a certain shot. Also, I think this title is interesting giving the repo something that may catch the eye of individuals. In addition to this, those who are familiar with Star Wars might find this enjoyable and take a look at the work that I am doing.
For my license, I chose an MIT license. I chose this license to allow others to expand and develop my work. Individuals may have other thoughts and ideas on how to predict these games and what to use to do it. Allowing others to take and use my work to improve upon it or help them improve theirs is important in the world of coding. Many times other people’s work and ideas have helped me in my career as a student in computer science so I want to be able to return the favor to anyone who needs somewhere to start with their own personal project.
