In this activity, I am identifying two habits that have been beneficial to me and the progress of my project and two bad habits that I need to stop doing that are hindering the progress of my project. Finally, the last section is the habits I would like to start doing.

Beneficial habits - Working 1 hour a day on project - Following TODO from meeting with advisor

The first habit that I have been doing for a couple of weeks is working an hour on my project each day. This allows me to give myself a good chunk of time to get things done. Also using this amount of time allows me to not overdue my work in a day and I can step back from it and think about some ideas.

The second habit I have been doing is doing the checklist of things to do from my advisor meetings. This gives me items to check off a list and get done rather than freely working.

Bad habits - Procrastinating - Not doing research journal posts

I often procrastinate doing some of the work on my prototype. This hinders my work and progress on my project as a whole. This happens because I feel like I don’t know where to start working on some features

I haven’t kept up to date on some of my research journal posts which has dropped my grade. I need to start doing these on time and making sure I meet the requirements for them to be counted.

Habits to start doing - Designated time to work - Make my own list of features to add

The first habit that I should start doing is carving out a designated time to do work rather than doing my work at a random time in the day. This will give me structure to my work

The second habit I would like to start doing is I would like to make a list of my own features that I want to add to my project. This will give me work that I can go through and check off rather than just opening up the project and doing random work.
