Hi I’m Luke Barker, I’m making an NBA team popularity/sentiment analyzer which will dive into which teams in the NBA are the most popular and if that is for a good reason or bad reason. Trying to figure out which NBA teams are talked about the most on social media and trying to help calm down the problem of media bias. If some teams are getting bashed and talked about in a bad way a lot it could be detrimental to the other teams organizations. I am the correct person for this research idea because I have a background in data science and I understand professional sports and the social media that comes with it. In this first activity, we were told to make our first post and complete the course contract. We were also told to schedule meetings with our readers so that we can start meeting with them on a regular basis throughout the semester. We were then told to write a meeting post about how our meeting went with our first reader. For my first meeting post, I just wrote down the TODOs that I had for the next meeting, and what I needed to do in the big picture of my project. I had to change the date and the category for the post to make sure that I was making the correct post for the meeting.
